I won an auction for a smartphone that was advertised as being a 32GB device. When it finally arrived, I discover it's only a 16GB item. During the auction, I explicitly confirmed with the seller that the device was indeed 32GB, via the message system. The seller has left photographs on the device of a pay advice slip from his employer. The information revealed identifies who the seller is, and where they work. What 'appropriate' options do I have?
Have you contacted the seller to tell them the problem? If yes have they offered a solution that you are happy with?
Did you pay by paypal?
If yes open a dispute for item not as described and put in details why it is not as described and also include a copy of the reply when you asked if it was a 32GB.
If the seller does not respond with in 24 hrs escalate to a claim and paypal will give the address to return it too via registered post.
Keep ALL paper work stamped by the PO as proof of lodgement.
DO NOT close the dispute till you have a refund or are happy with what is decided between you and the seller.
