I tried to purchase an item.  I wanted to use Paypal and the transaction for that seller was not allowed at that time. I tried three times.

I immediately then went and bought the same item from another seller, significantly more expensively, through Paypal, without an itch.

I, now, keep on getting demands from payment to the original seller, seemingly issued from eBay on behalf of the original seller.  As it is, I have paid the second seller, via Paypal, within minutes of the rejection of the first one, so the problem was not on my end. In fact, I already have taken satisfactory delivery of the item from that second seller.

I think there was no contract of sale since the seller could not fulfill the advertised payment method on the sale when I tried to make payment.  The item was advertised for immediate sale and in-stock.  I wanted the item asap and only paid for via Paypal. I do not give away my cc details willy-nilly.

I am annoyed that a) I seemingly had to agree to the sale before the seller could fulfill the payment acceptance, or anything else for that matter, a faulty procedure, imo, and b) that eBay allows, or condone, this behavior from a seller by keeping on issuing payment demands although I have already explained all this following the first demand of payment.  It seems to be a classic case of suck them in, and we will sort it out afterwards to our benefit.

Could someone help stopping these unwarranted demands for payments? Thanks.

Ah but there a many more views here than replies, so you don't know who has seen your posts.

Also any ID with a 'Private' feedback number is a buyer only, so you won't be dealing with them anyway. Unless you sell, which is a whole other can of worms if your attitude remains the same.

Other posters use their buying IDs or secondary selling IDs to post on the boards. It saves them from being persecuted by numpties who don't understand the system and refuse to listen to the advice they have received.
