If a brand new item turned out to be a faulty one can I demand for the refund?

I bought a tablet from hellomoto store which turned out to be a faulty one. They replaced with another tablet which turned out to be a faulty again.  They refused to refund even though they did not notify on their product details. I am about to lodge this case to the fair trading.
