Long story but here it goes (This all happened this year by the way)
i was sold an item that supposedly could be used to cool down my phone to prevent overheating. I followed the instructions, everything went fine until my phone stopped working.
I first made contact with the seller on 10th Sept., he quickly replied and said that it was not designed for phones (It said i could use it), about 4 days later he messages me stating that he can't do anything without evidence (which is obviously fair enough), i take my phone to a phone repair store, they said it was dead and it could not be repaired. I tell the seller this, he replies 2 days later, that he won't do anything about it with such little evidence. Next day i take it to samsung to get checked by them, they said it's broken and they wouldn't even attempt a repair. I tell the seller. I don't get a reply for 8 days.
During those 8 days, i messaged him on ebay, emailed him (from 2 email accounts) texted and called him (he has blocked my home phone number), i sent him & his wife a friend request on Facebook, i also messages both of them (The facebook bit is a bit too far but i had to. He has blocked me on Facebook also) i had to get my friend to message him on ebay. I sent him evidence (picture of the paperwork) and now he is ignoring me again.
I know that he has been ebay as he has listed items during this ordeal.
He keeps coming up with endless excuses (which i point out that it conflicts with his item description), he has a large amount of items listed on ebay and refuses to give me his ABN.
I don't know what to do 😕
I know that he is breaking the law by not providing a remedy by selling a faulty product but i really am stuck on what i should do.
Any suggestions would be a great help
