Misleading product description

Buyer purchased a phone system and when received it was made for US sockets and voltage. It was shipped to Australia and seller was aware that use was intended overseas as buyer had enquired about the validity of the warranty. Buyer immediately contacted seller and stated phones that were sent were unfit for use as they had US socket pins and requested full refund including return delivery cost. Seller advises that buyer has to pay for return delivery as buyer purchased the wrong product, should buyer have to pay the costs for an item that is unfit for use without the need for additional adapters which was not stated in the product description. Should the seller have a duty of care to advise buyer when enquiring about the warranty that they would need adapters for the phones to work in their country? Buyer was charged $70 to return an item without taking it fully out of the box - has the seller breached ny policy in regards to misleading product description? Should the seller be obliged to note on the product description the exact tech specs especially when selling to countries that don't comply with theirs.
