Why does Ebay accept a return address overseas? It causes the return cost to exceed the purchase price.
If you buy from a seller overseas, where else would you send it back to ?
If something is not as described, you as the buyer don't pay (assuming you opened and followed through with a dispute)
In the case of an "item not as described" the seller has to provide the buyer with the return post funds.
It is only when the buyer has a "change of mind" return that they have to pay the return postage.
In your case it seemed to be a "change of mind" return and the seller eventually gave you an Australian address and a postage label.
