Problem returning item to seller.

I purchased an interactive toy from an online company in Sept that ceased working in 6 weeks. Although I used my everyday email address, paid for the item by debit card and supplied a name and postal address and have a bunch of backward and forward emails, I cannot remember my ebay user name ID which the seller is insistent on.  They have all my details and a record of the sale but are being less than helpful in assisting me with a return or repair because they say, I cannot remember my username ID. Is this usual or are they trying to 'bat' me?

Do you remember your password?

Even if you don't, you could click on "I forgot my password", and they would send a code and a link to reset it to your email address, and once logged in, as Sandy said, you can see your username.

You could also log in to your normal mailbox and search for this purchase. Your username should be in the order confirmation email.

If you do not remember the user ID for the account which you purchased under, may I ask why you don't sign into it with your email address?

Then, once logged in, hover over the G'day (your name) at the top and under that it will show the username for that account

If the company have a record of the sale, they would already have your ID you bought with

It sounds like they are playing silly buggers
