Counterfeit and non-genuine goods

It seems that eBay has changed its attitude toward counterfeit, non-genuine items and helping buyers who have been scammed. I recall a time when eBay were very diligent and responded quickly to customer issues. But it now seems they are like an absentee landlord, make it difficult to lodge a complaint or don't respond at all

Do you mean when eBay just took every buyers word for it with zero clue or proof which party was the scammer?

 

Or do you mean you are unaware of the current policy?

 

Or do you have no proof of something being fake but expect ‘because I said so’ to be proof itself?

 

ebay have always supported all buyers, including always supporting scammer buyers no matter what the do/say/claim

 

Not a bad thing if they have decided to make sure buyers can show what they are claiming is actually true
