Warranty not Honored

I purchased a Dyson battery in June 22 which was advertized with a 5 yr warranty. The battery failed after 21 months. The seller refuses to honor the warranty stating it only carries a 1 yr warranty which is correct at the present time. I have since filed 2 reports to ebay on their official form and to date dont have any response, each report stating "Report Submission Failed".  Why is this so ?

Unless you bought from an Australian registered and authorised seller/reseller of the battery, the "warranty" is meaningless.

Probably not Authorised, but surely ebay have some control as to what a seller advertises on their website ??

@jack. No - how could they vet millions of listings every day. And no control over what Chinese sellers, by definition selling knock-offs, list. The trick is to clear the $$ signs from one's eyes before purchasing.
