incorrect final bid on won item

I bid on an iphone case minutes before end

opening bid $7.04 I bid $9.52

Was outbid so I bid $12.00 with abou 30 sec to go by the time i confirmed my $12 final bid it was ended and said i won the item at 

$51 and the second highest bidder was $50 which showed up as being put in on 17/4/13 (was the first bid i saw for this bidder as only 3 bids in total

1. no way i typed $50 instead of $12

2.Can bidders have hidden first bids to 

3. can there be be dummy bidders to push up price but even then does not explain my final incorrect bid

And why would i want to pay $50 for a case when there are many much much cheaper  and leaves the question why the other bidder bid $50 very suspicious

I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE SELLER TO INFORM OF THE MISTAKE BUT NO ANSWER AS YET I WILL NOT PAY FOR THIS EVEN IF IT MEANS NO EBAY ACCOUNT IT IS THE PRINCIPLE

Most likely you typed $120 instead of 12.  If you go to look in your won items it will tell you what your highest bid was.
