purchased an item on saturday April 21st, paid in full, received invoice and shipping details, notified Tues 24th item ot of stock will no longer be available

I've had this happen to me also. It is most annoying.  What happens is these sellers DON'T HAVE ANY in stock at all, they just get the item from a supplier AFTER you buy. This is a common practice on eBay for many sellers.  I wish eBay would put a stop to this misleading selling.  They should at least have to state the true facts in the ad.  I have missed out on items because of this, when I could have purchased from someone else who actually had the item, which was gone by the time I was mucked about by someone who never had the item in the first place. Unfortunately, you will get nowhere complaining about this, just leaving them some bad feedback pointing it out to other potential buyers is your only option.
