Refund after 90 days?

Hello, I purchased an item on the 13th of July 2024. Originally the seller was responsive and told me it would be delayed due to needing parts, then later because of his fathers funeral, then he just never responded. I’ve messaged him a couple times but haven’t really checked up on it because I’ve been busy. Either way, my messages have been ignored and it doesn’t seem like I’ll be getting my product or even the decency of a reply. Is there any way I can contact eBay to get this sorted despite it being over 90 days? Thanks.

No. The MBG has a strict timeframe of 30 days from the date of receiving an item not as described. Not a nanosecond longer.

EDIT: Did you mean you’ve not received it at all? Then timeframe starts from the latest EDD (estimated delivery date).

If you used PayPal, you’re still within the 180 day Buyer Protection period - but be aware that the 180 days starts from date of transaction (when you paid), not from delivery date or estimated delivery date. If you did use PayPal, hop to it NOW and don’t let yourself be snookered by the seller.

If you funded your purchase by card (credit or debit), check your card’s T&C. Period during which you can request a chargeback will definitely not be longer than 6 months, could be 3 or 4 months, possibly 1 or 2 months; it’s different not only between banks but between specific cards.
