Seller claims not responsible for loss or damage in the post???

I have just purchased some expensive perfume because they offer tracking and insurance (for $15.00 postage)

I have just looked at the listing again and the seller has put on the listing that they are NOT responsible for loss or damage in the post.

Is this allowed?

If something goes missing that I sell I ALWAYS refund or replace the item.

Has ebay changed their policy on this because I have been under the impression that the seller IS responsible for the item until it arrives at its destination....and why would they ask for extra money for tracking and insurance if they are denying any responsibility?

I am now concerned about this purchase
