Seller has sent incorrect item

I received the item in the post, and it is a size smaller than the item I bought (yes, I checked on the listing incase I had made a mistake).

 

I contacted the seller, asking what the procedure was for me to return the item and for them to send me the correct item. They are not responding to me.

 

My intention is to contact them again tomorrow and see if they are perhaps away for a few days.

 

What are my options if they still refuse to respond, as I bought this item as a gift and so I would like it to actually fit the person I bought it for and also need it sorted ASAP.

If they do respond, am I within my rights to ask them to pay for my return postage of the incorrect item as well as the postage of the correct item?
