I've just purchased an iPhone via PayPal, but straight away the seller contacted me saying:
I'm sorry - I have listed the incorrect paypal account on my ebay account. I got an email confirming you've paid, but I can't claim it - are you able to please cancel and re-issue to (she provided an alternative email).
Does this sound legitimate??
Be very careful buying mobile phones off eBay, they are often fakes or refurbished ones. You should still be able to cancel your Paypal payment if it hasn't been processed, just log into your Paypal account order details and do it there.
BUT tell the seller to fix their Paypal account then pay for it. As a safeguard check the seller's feedback and see where they are registered, if they are registered in Asia, don't buy it or you'll regret doing so.
Could you post the item number of the phone so that someone can have a look at it for you and advise further ?
