Didn't Austrlia Post discontinue REGISTERED POST for parcels??
I recently saw this statement on a listing I am interested in bidding on but wondered whether there was any truth in it >>>> " Please note that to meet PayPal Protection Policy Guidelines items paid by PayPal must be sent by Registered Post to enable tracking so please let me know if you intend to pay by PayPal so that I can add this postage cost to your invoice."
Anyone?????

Yes you're correct - there is no more Registered Post for parcels - it has been replaced by Signature on Delivery (with Extra Cover if required).
A lot of casual sellers aren't aware of this - I recently bought an item which the seller said would be mailed by Registered Post - sent him a quick message explaining that wouldn't be possible - he had no idea that the Australia Post system had changed.
