What increments do bids raise by? How much higher will it go from someone elses bid if your still the highest bidder?

Do all ebay auctions go up in increments like this?

So if the item starts at $500, and there are 0 bids. If i bid $900. How high will my actual bid be for everyone to see?

If the starting price is $500 and you bid $900 the bid will remain at $500 until someone bids against you,  the increments vary depending on the price of the item, at $500, my guess would be by around $5.

If you are happy to pay up to $900 for the item, then bid that amouint and see how you go,  if it goes over then you won`t be disappointed as you didn`t want to pay more anyway 🙂
