What is the appropriate feedback to leave when item is received slightly damaged?

Today I received by post earrings from seller.  They were posted in a small express envelope (not the padded type), placed in the envelope with no padding, bubblewrap or similar.  The post on one on the earrings was bent.  I have been able to straighten it out so they can be worn but they are now not perfect.  In all other aspects the transaction was excellent.  I believe that if the earrings had been sent with some type of protective wrap inside envelope the damage may have been avoided.  My question is what level of feedback is fair in this situation.  Negative - too severe perhaps, what about neutral??  I have only ever left positives in the past.  Your thoughts would be appreciated here.
