What to do if I bought an Item on ebay from a seller thru messages and paid him then he isnt responding my emails

Hey guys, I was bidding on an item and i lost, then the seller approached me saying that the highest bidder wasnt communicating with him and seller offered me to buy it. I accepted the offer and paid him thru bank deposit without the second chance offer. So after i have paid him, i asked him for the tracking number and he hasnt been replying me my emails. Has he scammed me? If so, what should i do?

Could very well have.

There is nothing you can do except wait and see if it arrives, if they are not a scammer then they may have sent it without tracking. As you actually bid on the item you may be able to get their contact details through Advanced Search and give them a call.

I hope it wasn't much money as the only way you would have any hope of getting your money back is if you could prove you paid the money into his bank account as a payment for something, you would have to find out his address, you would have to pursue himn through the small claim's court in the state where they live. Even if you won that case you would only get a judgement against them and if they didn't have any money or assets that award would probably be a dollar a week if you were lucky.

Take this a lesson never to pay a complete stranger money into their bank account.

As you purchased off ebay you cannot even use the police auction fraud report site, if you ever get their phone number and address you can always ringing the police station nearest them but as you have no proof of anything other than an email offer I doubt if they will be able to help.
