When I click on a photo to look more closely, it opens briefly & closes again. EVERY TIME!! Why?

Every time I click on a photo to enlarge it to view the item I'm interested in more closely, it opens up for a couple of seconds and then closes again. I ALWAYS have to click on it again. Every single time - I click on it, it closes, I have to open it again. I'm using my iPad. The photos look different -> they're larger and have a black background the past few weeks. The quality is OK. But it is truly FRUSTRATING. It can't just be me surely? It never used to happen before the look of the photos changed. Why is this happening? Any thoughts? Interestingly, I'm often tricked because the photo is enlarged and opens briefly and I click on the photo and it closes just as I click on it and right at the spot (right side of my iPad) I click is an advertisement. I unwittingly click on the advertisement and it takes me to a new blipping window! Away from eBay! Over it.
