I purchased two items from the same seller and received them, however one was the wrong type.
Seller has offered to send the correct item for postage cost only and let me keep the incorrect item.
I am happy with the resolution as I have a friend who will purchase the item off me, so it's win/win, but how do I pay the postage again so it links back to the communication / original item so I don't lose out if I just pay via PayPal - can the seller raise an invoice or similar?

The seller can send you another invoice direct from Paypal. Or you can just pay the extra postage to their Paypal address and choose "goods" or "ebay item" on the send money page.
