Are you p*ssed off "Distance from your post code" is missing for item links?
I used this to save time having to click on a link to find out where its from
It meant I couls search for all thing XA & just decide whether to look at larger that could be posted
To search by distance you now have to click "More refinements"
rather than "Distance" near Australia Only or Worldwide
If you are as p*ssed as I am contact ebay and tell them so
This is what I wrote to them
"Why has the state & distance disappear from the item link? I like to look at large and small items together. For instance I search for everthing XA (Ford) under car parts. Small items can be posted so no need to limit search area, if the part is large like a motor I simply look how many Kms it is away from me whether I bother to click on the link to read the description. Saves a lot of time. Now I have to look at the description just to see where it is. THIS IS A BACKWARD STEP. Please reinstate this feature. By far the best help for quick searching. Also now to do a distance search I have to click on "More refinements" CRAP. Put it back where it belongs."
"ninja, to reply to the answers here, don't put your reply on a tag because few will see it.
Just go to the top of the page and click on the "reply" icon."
Couldn't see it in IE8, had to use firefox, thanks.
"Did you know disguised swearing isnt allowed on these boards?"
No, how do I edit it?
"And did you see there are at least 3 other thread on the very same subject in the last 24 hours?"
No 1st time on here.
"If you try the new way of doing it you will see it isnt so bad once you get used to it."
Sorry, have to disagree"
"If you have regular searches why don't you set up saved searches."
I do, still not the same though.
"If I click on "view listings" its back, location & distance from post code. Why?"
The question was rhetorical, sorry.
I know no one here has the power to fix it & like all forum people try & help & I thank you for that. I was just hoping others were as miffed as I am & would complain to ebay.
As people have saiid there are options but I'm trying to explain if I search by distance I then have to be item specific. The way it was I just looked at everything & could see what city, state it was from & the distance in kms from me. It was by far the best feature they added a few years back. I just dont understand why it was removed. The 3 responses I have had from ebay have not explained it.
