german items not showing on worldwide search

Why do auction items from the German ebay site that appear in one of my saved searches not open when accessed from the Australian site? Also lots do not appear in a worldwide search from the australian site using the same words in the item title as displayed in the saved search. eg "With Full Force Programmheft" will return 0 items when searched from Australian site, but if searched from German site will get one result. If I click on an item from my saved search email, that was generated on the german site, I get an error message saying "This listing (**********) has been removed, or this item isn't available." yet the item is still up on the German site. It seems there is geoblocking going on here.
