I have been signed in to ebay most of the afternoon and had already sent a question to another seller but when i tried to submit a bid of $78.50 on item 161315008512 at 7pm tonight, my bid was blocked by a pop up saying i needed to sign in. Why did this happen, i changed my password about a fortnight ago as suggested by ebay and all seemed ok.
I am very dissapointed in being asked to sign in again when it clearly showed at top of page that i was already signed in and this in turn did not allow me to make my bid at my prefered time.

You are talking to other eBay members here, not customer support (that is top right, then contact eBay) 🙂
I use an iPad and I find that every so often, the same thing happens to me. So if I really want an item, and am preparing to bid at the last minute, I sign out (click on your name top left, for the sign out option) then sign in again a few minutes earlier. That way it does not time out.
It has happened on Android as well.
