why doesn't ebay have a reporting site to report a scam.

I tried to buy a vehcile selling as a classified ad and when I contacted the seller the buy it now price trippled. Then I looked up the sellers other items and he has approx 20 other vehicle for sale from Queensland, NSW, Victoria, WA all for the same classified price of $6900.00 with an off site email address and when you contact him he wants more money and a desposit down straight away.

Surly ebay should take responsiablity for stopping scam artist like this?

So I could see another vehicle in the back ground and when enlarged I could just see the phone number written on the back screen. So I phoned it and the real owner answered and said he didn't know of the ebay listing as his listing had ended without selling.
