$20 voucher not working?

I got an SMS from eBay that says
here's $20 on eBay AU. Use code: MONEY.
So I thought I'd buy a book I've been lilooking at, it's $23 plus an extra couple of dollars for gst and I was just going to pay that with may paypal. I did the same thing just 2 months ago when I got a $20 voucher and it worked fine but when I put in this voucher it says something went wrong and to double check the code. Anyone know why this is happening?

Already a few posts about this on the boards, have a look as it might be the cause of your problem too

Ebay Chat told another person with the problem the voucher is only for people who've not bought in 11 months

therein may lay your problem.

The $20 SMS received voucher is for use on items listed on ebay.com.au and not all items that appear on ebay.com.au

To the ordinary member the two might be the same.  You log in to ebay.com.au and do a search and buy something that appears on the search results.  However, if you pay GST on top of the item cost then it is coming from overseas, meaning it was listed on an overseas eBay site.
