A refund from seller

I need help. I purchased an item and this item wasn't able to be postered to be, so the seller refunded it, problem I have us, I paid with my card not PayPal because that's hiw I purchase from my ex boyfriends eBay, he let's me, but the seller said they refunded it to pay pal but I paid with card, I need that money back on my card 

what do I do? 

My ex isn't around or even contactable

Did the seller have their own merchant credit facility or did you pay with your credit card through paypal?

If it was through paypal the money will go back to your credit card....it will take a few days to appear on your credit card.

If it is an ex, why would you not get your own Ebay & Paypal a/c??
