ALL EBAY SELLERS SHOULD SAY WHERE NEW PRODUCTS ARE MADE

China's list of sanctions and tariffs on Australian trade is growing. Here's what has been hit so far; barley, beef and lamb, wine, cotton, seafood, timber and coal. Wheat, wool, sugar and copper ore look like they will be next. All because Ping didn’t want an investigation done into where Covid started from. While Ping is playing these games, the least I can buy from China, the better. It's stupid cause some of my best and long time mates are Chinese. They were also in the Eureka Stockade, fighting with us against the British tyranny at the time.

It's getting harder and harder to buy things that are actually made here, especially if you are talking about bigger items such as fridges, cars and what have you. Even clothes. We used to have one of the biggest clothing companies in the world a few decades ago, but now you're lucky to get anything made here.

Even wedding dresses etc-you'll find most of them come from either USA or China, which is why they have to be ordered in months in advance.

But at least you can support Australian based sellers, that way you're helping someone here to make a living. I'm not keen on buying things from Chinese sellers if I can help it. One thing to keep in mind is if something is made in China for an Australian company, then presumably it has to be made to Australian standards, whereas if you're buying direct from overseas, an item may not be up to standard.
