I purchase my brand new in box mobile phone from this seller on the 12th of Feb 2013.
There were several unexplained reboots before the phone simply died on May 23rd.
I messaged the seller on the 24th of May, who replied on the 28th requesting the phone's IMEI number. I sent this within minutes.
Since the 28th of May I have sent several messages requesting advice on the next step but have received nothing.
I have sent a number to an email address outside of Ebay but only received an automated response insisting a rapid response to support emails, received on the 11th June.
The phone was over $330 which is not money I can afford to throw away and I would prefer it to be repaired if possible as it still has important data on it, not to mention the fact that I love the phone.
I can't locate a telephone number anywhere, not even on the Tax Invoice. Their 'coming soon' website also lacks one; a rather bizarre omission for a business.
ABN lookup reveals nothing more than NSW 2015
I know it has only been a little over two weeks but would have expected a reply by now. Am I being too impatient?
Can anyone advise what my next move should be?

If you paid via PayPal using a credit card, your only option at this stage would be to contact your bank and request a chargeback. PayPal and eBay will be unable to help you at this stage as you are already outside of the 45 days to make a PayPal claim/initiate dispute.

If it was purchased from the seller who calls people idiots etc or says they need mental health help,I'm not surprised you've had no response.:O

computers and mobile phones DO NOT lend themselves to being bought off ebay. Pay the little extra and buy from a reputable dealer.

@gobble..... all I can say is buyer beware.... so sorry.
Personally, I wouldn't buy a mobile / computer/ gps/ anything slightly electronic or gadgetty from ebay or the like.... but then, others do, and then they end up here with complaints wanting to be resolved. Never mind, lets see if this helps you any ๐
Here is what I would suggest you do, but whether you do it or not, is up to you.
-I would print off a copy of the invoice for the purchase of the item and I hope to god you used pay-pal.
-Then I would print off each email you have sent and any reply they have sent.
-Take with you the invoice you received in delivery.
-Take with you a list of all the faults, and take the mobile.
-Gather up all of the above and walk into the dept of Fair trading and make a complaint against their business through their ABN. If they are in deed a trading business under an ABN, they must follow the law with regards to service and warranties, so go armed with your info and let them have it!
Good luck.

Thanks. Looks like I will have to do that. The seller is obviously ignoring me as he/she has time to respond to negative feedback by insulting people.
