So...I found something I'd like to buy but there's a big discrepancy between the posting details and what the seller has put in the listing info. So I decided to ask the seller for clarification. Only problem is, I got this message:
We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of messages this seller receives, they are unable to respond to your specific question right now. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.
The answer of course is not in the seller's listing - that's why I'm asking the question. Has anyone ever received a message like this but eventually managed to get through? If there's no hope I might as well give up and delete it from my watch list.

Why?

That means the seller has opted to not receive messages.
Look elsewhere

So far they seem to be the only seller with this item. Not only on eBay either. I found the item on Amazon, turned out to be the same mob under a different name....and on Amazon posting it to Oz is not an option.
I've now tracked down the company under their main website....but under that name they don't sell the item I want. However if I can't get through on eBay I will try the parent website. Fortunately they have more than 10 of the items available so I can afford to take a bit of time. The only problem is they must have bought the world's supply as I can't find anywhere else that sells it!
There was a time on eBay when you could ask a seller a question and at least get an answer - good or bad. Now it's a lottery on whether you will...or if you can even deliver the message. This latest issue is not the only one...I seem to have had a lot of bad luck on that front lately. Sigh.

Because sometimes being able to see the ad can help try and find out what's going on.

You have answered your own question.
You asked a question. You didnt get an actual answer to your question. Remove it from your watch list.

You would be even more annoyed if you paid for it and it diidn't arrive or there was a problem and you got this message.

I no longer have problems with asking sellers questions if I don't choose a specific topic for the question but instead choose "other" at the bottom of the list. Since doing this all questions get through to the seller and most are answered promptly.
