I just received a Boba Fett figure (Black Series) that I believed was authentic because the first image in the listing showed the authentic box. The listing description was brief: Star Wars Black Series Boba Fett Mint in Box. The Box that showed up was not the box in the first picture of the listing. I went back and looked at all of the images from the original listing and found that the subsequent images showed the bootleg box "STAR WALS' (yes with an 'L'). I feel like this is a misleading listing because the seller has used an image that was not of the product for sale in the hero photo of the listing with no mention of the fact that the product was a bootleg. Do you think I'm within my rights to open a 'Misleading Listing' type dispute? Would it be reasonable to ask for a discount? Has the seller breached Ebay's counterfeit products policy? Thanks.

To give an opinion on that we would need to know the item number of the listing.

In a word, yes, regardless of how the listing was presented: "We don't allow counterfeit items, replicas or unauthorised copies to be listed on eBay."

If the seller was willing and able to show photos of the actual packaging for the item, there was no need to show a photo of the genuine article in the first gallery image.
You may have bought in haste and overlooked key details of the listing, but this doesn't absolve the seller for listing a counterfeit item.
