COD should be the only option for local pickups

I would love ebay to explain to me why they allow sellers to opt for PayPal only for pick up items ?
1.paypal affords the buyer no protection in this situation.
2.and what happens if you do pay with PayPal and when you go to collect the item its not as described, etc.... You ask for money back then the problems start.i can assure you not all sellers are honest.
The way its now allowed to happen the buyer is left hanging and a possibility of losing money.
Love to receive rational comments.

ebay will keep paypal option as that is an extra fee, and many pick up items are expensive, probably why sellers dont like paypal as its a big fee for big ticket items.

It's also a good option if it's a large amount for the buyer if using it to pay on pick up as there are many cases where I wouldn't want to be carrying too much cash with me.

Buyers who get someone else to pick up the item, pay with Paypal. A risk to them but their choice.
