Communication

Why is it that there are some sellers that do not bother to answer your communitacion with regards a purchase you have made?

I have had a rare occasion when I have stated that I had a problem with payment after saying that I would pay for it on a set date but still payment would be made with in a five day perions.

I have also had a situation where I had  made payment right away on the 21st of Oct and it is now the 4th Nov ....I have made contact on the day I made the payment then again when it seemed a few days and no sign that the item had been posted.

A few days later I saw that it was shown as posted on the 22nd of Oct ..... I waited for just over a week and contacted the seller again but to no avail as I have still not had a response..... Again today I have contacted the seller to find out what is going on and to be honest I am not holding my breath for a response.

I have however given the seller Two more days for the delivery and if not I will take up a case against them.  I am sure had I not made payment within a set time they would have taken a case against me.

Talking of cases against buyers... on two occaisions I have had a situation where I have contacted the seller immediately to let then know as I always do if not paying right away ..the day that I would be making payment and yet they have still taken a case out against me before the arranged day of payment which is always with in a five day arrangement.

I always check before purchasing to make sure of when payment is expected so as to be sure of when it is acceptable to make the payment.

It saddens me when I have always made first contact when commiting to purchase of even when I have bought and made immediate payment and yet sometimes the seller has no  decency to answer or acknowledge you in any way what so ever.

I am surprised that their busnesses online survives because I certainly would not make any further purchases from then nor would I  give them a positive feedback for others to see.

Not only that they do not help Ebay with a good name if they were newcomers and it was their first and only experience with making a purchase.

Please my request is to Sellers if someone is good enough regardless to make a purchase from you at least have the decency to be responsive with the over all experience.

To all the others that have been wonderful Sellers, keep up the good work.  Thankfully most of mine have been posative and the sellers have been really great and obviously take pride in their businesses and sales service.

I hope this is helpfull and taken into account for those who might need to know how Buyers might feel when making purchases.

Sincerely

Merran

Hi Merran,

We are a seller, and it's most interesting to get the "other side"s opinions!

We sell clothing, most of the customers are female - and everyone knows how much ladies loooove to talk!

I personally could talk for 3 day straight without repeating myself - and so can any other woman.

And we do - excatly that! Start messaging with postage details, then you get the response, then you respond - and before long we move onto the phone - I mean it's easier, right - then we just talk and talk!

So your seller must be a guy!

If he's anything like my husband - you'll not get a peep out of him!

We did have a customer, one of the boardies here  who wasn't interested in talking!

Her messages were dry, repetitive, unfriendly - or that's how they came accross, and no matter what we tried to do  she just wouldn't have a bar of it!

But cases like that are far and few in between - thankfully.

And if your seller is not responding, grab their ph. number from Ebay and give them a call.

Cheers!

Did you make that announcement (doesn't sound like a request) before you bought or afterwards? Ebay allow 4 days before a seller can open a dispute so if you are going to take longer than that you should ask before you bid!

As a buyer I don't want any communication, I don't look to see when an item is posted, i just wait a reasonable time for it to arrive and if it doesn't the seller gets one request for valid tracking and if that isn't provided I open a dispute.

I wish sellers would let me know when my purchase has been posted as I buy a lot from overseas, but it doesn't always happen.  I've also got one item purchased with a tracking number listed but nothing to say the item has got any further along the chain.  I assume the number was registered electronically but it seems the item has yet to reach a post office/sorting facility.  Even parcels that don't track all the way to Oz from the US will have some kind of tracking at the US end.

I've also recently received two parcels fully tracked to Oz (USPS First Class International with e-delcon) and I wish they were all like that. Smiley Happy  But I guess the seller has to ensure they are properly lodged first, and there are some who don't bother.  It's a bit of a lottery, really.

it true a lot of seller dont go into the post office and have the item scanned for tracking

i do this for all items with tracking and registered post

thats why i only post mon to fri 9am to 5pm

as i want it scanned so it shows up on aust post site as lodged by me

(i wish more sellers would do this when i purchase items as well)
