Dick Smith now Selling in China? Buying iPhones from Overseas, not good.

What are everyones thoughts (and experiences) about buying iPhones on eBay from overseas sellers?

Apple iPhone 7 (128GB, Jet Black) 191983389252

I have seen people buy iPhones (Described as NEW) from overseas sellers and only receive poorly refurbished ones.

To claim IRNAD the buyers will have to pay a lot to send them back, with tracking so most buyers simply dont worry.

The above mentioned seller has a username to make people think they are buying from the recently closed down Dick Smith retailer?

Notice these iPhones are advertised as NEW however if you read the description you will find the following:

HK No Affiliation/Network Unlocked Disclaimer (Phones/Tablets)

To view Apple’s International Warranty Details, click here (No link in listing when you try to click here)

This Product is offered and supplied by Dick Smith Electronics pursuant to the Terms and Conditions.

All in all it looks like a scam. Seller claining to be Dick Smith retailer and seller selling refurbished, overseas model iphones advertised as NEW.

Looks like they bought some of Dick Smiths accounts.

In May 2016, online retailer Kogan.com purchased the Dick Smith brand, trademarks, intellectual property, and

its online business in Australia and New Zealand, for an undisclosed sum.

On 4 May 2016, Kogan.com relaunched the Dick Smith brand-name as an online-only technology retailer in

Australia and New Zealand.

I personally wouldn't buy a phone online as there are to many pitfalls and warranties may not be honoured.
