EBay wrongly blocking legitimate request for information from a seller - how to communicate now

A seller is advertising an item that I wish to ensure it is the Model of item that I wish to buy. I have asked for the part number and the model number of an iPhone and nothing more. EBay has said my message indicated to them. I was trying to buy this iPhone outside of eBay. I am not. I need the information so I can have confidence in the item that I am purchasing and that it is what I am seeking nothing more.

EBay wrongly blocking legitimate request for information from a seller - how to communicate now

Likely the eBay bots took you asking the seller for the model number as asking the seller for their mobile number

That said the one and only way you can have any confidence at all in buy such a thing is if the seller is an authorised seller/re-seller for Apple

Otherwise there is a high possibility of any number of issues, plus the fact there will be zero warranty

What is the item number?
