My poor seller, he has sent a replacement for an item I bought in December, which he then posted with a tracking number that eventually dropped out of the system, showing the item as being dispatched but never arriving in Australia. The day after he posted a replacement (at great expense to himself) the original package turned up in Aus and was delivered to me a couple of days later.
This item is inside an EMS express package - so why did it take so long?

Do you know if it went via the Shenzing/Shenzen Province Mail Centre ? There seem to have been issues there in December ie parcels disappeared even though registered & then suddenly reappeared almost 2 months later.
Maybe EMS is trying to get the 'lost'mail to people ASAP ?? Just a thought.

Parcels from Shenzhen have been held up at customs for the last couple of months. I had dhl parcels held up in customs for a long time (which is really unusual for DHL). Then I read that Australian police had busted a multi-million dollar meth importing scheme from Shenzhen ... which would explain it.
It was one of the largest drug busts ever and should hopefully put a big hole in the meth supply in oz.
They caught several australian's in relation to it and the whole operation has taken a few months.

A good case for a seller to refund instead of resupplying,
it would have been a simple matter of repaying the seller when the item turned up and no one would have been out of pocket.

It equalled two month's supply, so about two months would be the maximum time it will make any difference for.

I am waiting for a parcel from the us as well the sellers won't answer me or help at all it was posted in December but thetracking just says it was logged and dropped off the system I have tried to lodge an appeal but it is too old now. Are there any system in place for this

The package I was waiting for was sent from Venezuela. All has ended well though, both items arrived safely and rather than post it all the way back and risk it going AWOL again, the seller and I have agreed to me listing the spare for sale and sending him the proceeds to cover some (or maybe all) of the replacement cost of the item.
I did notice that it had been opened at some point on it's journey, but I doubt that customs would hold up a package for 2 months. And I would love to leave a big pos for the seller for being so honest, but too late now - 60 days is the feedback time limit these days it would appear.
