Every time DAI Post is involved. You cannot get your package, without contacting them. This is consistent with all their reviews, except the many copy-paste bot ones (that google needs to take down).
That isn't how a standard business should function, nor standard for postage should work.
I am pretty dumbfounded at why Ebay doesn't simply use Australia Post.
I bought a package, from New York. The seller used Ebay's default postal settings, as I helped them set it up.
It went from DHL and Asendia, to DAI Post. Incredibly bizarre, and a time wasting process. DAI Post will not deliver my package, and I need to mess around with them.

eBay not read here and they do not take requests
If the seller uses a service you do not like, don’t buy from them
and if don’t like them, why help the seller set it up as that?
A seller in the USA cannot use Australia Post

Totally agree.
From what I learnt, US postal service will use one of two local couriers - DAI post, and Australia Post.
From my experience DAI are so incompetent it is criminal.
Worst of all for eBay users, I discovered that if the courier company claim to have successfully delivered an item (ibn my case to the wrong address), then neither eBay or PayPal will honor their money back guarantees.
I had a package worth over $450 delivered to someone else.
Despite my telling DAI, eBay and Paypal that yes, it was delivered, but not to me.
Three times eBay found against me, even though the house in the picture was not mine, and could easily be checked with something like google street view.
PayPay twice found against me and it was only when I went to my credit card company that I finally found someone on my side.
I have not ordered from eBay since, because what is the point when you run the risk of it just going missing and no compensation
