Failure of Global Tracking System

No problem with seller. But global tracking system failed.

I purchased an item from the UK.  Message from global tracking advising me that it had been delivered to me. It hadn't. Went to the ebay process by contacting seller. Received advice that since global tracking system said it was delivered (at 11:40am on 13 Dec) then the case was closed.  They ignored the fact that the global tracking system stated that the parcel was delivered to the address a thousand km from customs entry point 9 minutes after it supposedly entered the country. I can't appeal this decision unless I have a police report.  What do I report to police - that a delivery company lost my parcel?  The inference is that I am a fraud or a fool.

Bad luck for me. No parcel. No money.

After (literally) hours of chasing I discovered that DHL was the actual delivery company.  I was then lucky enough to find the DHL delivery number. In the DHL system it shows (I have a screen shot) that the parcel was not even in Australia at the time it was supposed to have been delivered to me.  Six days later, it has still not been delivered.  I have given up hope.

If you are a seller, beware of using this method of delivery - it doesn't do your credibility with buyers any good if they experience what I have experienced.  If you are a buyer, consider avoiding purchase from sellers who use this method.  Or  you can be like me and decide once my present purchases are completed, not to use ebay at all.

Aussie sellers can't choose to use the GSP . . . . . . and the poms are too engrossed in crying about the cricket to be reading these boards.
