Hello fellow eBay'ites,
Just found an unpaid item case has been opened against me by a Chinese company listing on eBay AU, for some items I purchased and paid for by Paypal seven days ago and have received a postal tracking number.
Does this mean I may go to Jail?

$2.00. 😮 😉

As a seller I have on numerous occasions (I would estimate at least once a month) have buyers send me a message letting me know that they had paid for an item - when I look further I have found that the buyer has purchased twice without realising, whether by human error or a computer glitch it does not matter - once the problem is established it is easily fixed. I would check my ebay purchase history and communicate with the seller.

Look at your invoice again and make sure all 6 items are included. Sometimes large companies invoice separately for one or more items if they are coming from a different warehouse.

Thanks for the replies.
In the unpaid item case message it says "If you've already paid and think payment should have been received by now, please contact eBay Customer Support." Which I did and got a reply back yesterday pretty much saying contact the seller and sort it out yourself ?:|. If the seller closes the case you can make an appeal?:|.
Isn't this why eBay...Oops....I mean ebay (Uh Oh!, spell check disagrees with the new logo), gets paid all these fees to function as a company and investigate any problems on both sides of the fence?
Anyway,I sent a message to the seller outlining the situation as plain as possible and got a message back today saying - "yes have checked and payment marked for,ok". I assume this is all good? However "My eBay" says case is still open, should this close when the seller confirms payment?
Cheers.

Just reply to dispute with proof from paypal you have already paid and in the notes section lat the seller know you are not happy.

Just ignore it, unless the seller closes it it will just time out, if they inadvertently close it giving you a strike then you just appeal it to ebay giving the Paypal details and the strike will be removed.

Mmmm....Well....I got an unpaid item strike!
Now I am going to jail.:_|
The thing that gets me though is that I have already sent customer support the PayPal transaction number and copies of the emails and they weren't interested. Now I've just had to do the whole thing again for this appeal.....what a convoluted process!
And don't forget the items have been posted, I'm curious to see what rolls up and I read somewhere here that if the item has been posted it is against policy to open a case?
Anyway, we'll see what happens.
Thanks for the advice.

Now I am going to jail.:_|
hehehe
This is funny :^O
Tell me you were really scared. All the lovely buyers that never end up paying sellers... we should make a special jail for them. Don't worry, you won't go in. The convoluted appeal process will have concluded positively in your case by then ]:)

See? If eBay boards had a LIKE button, just like Facebook, that's what I'd be pressing right now... just to reassure you that I would come and bail you out, you criminal, you 😉
