Hello fellow eBay'ites,
Just found an unpaid item case has been opened against me by a Chinese company listing on eBay AU, for some items I purchased and paid for by Paypal seven days ago and have received a postal tracking number.
Does this mean I may go to Jail?

It was just Paypal linked to my bank account.
I thought there could be problems because I sent some emails asking about the items and the reply's were barely understandable with the broken English.
But I'm not racist!
I've sent info to customer support.

It's important to respond within the paypal dispute process
Just find your transaction receipt for your payment, and put it in the reply saying that it has been paid for.

Log into your Paypal account and see what the payment status says, if it says the payment is uncleared, completed or cleared then the seller should have been unable to open an unpaid item dispute. If the psyment is showing as unclaimed then you have paid to the wrong email address and should check if this is your mistake or the seller's, if the seller's then email them with the transaction id and tell the to claim the payment. If it is showing as canceled then it means your bank has refused the Paypal request and you will have to sort thatt out and pay again.
Do go to your purchase history first and check that you have paid for everything, could you inadvertently doubled up on BINs?

Mmmm.... Very sensible reply!
Very close to finding the loop-hole.... paypal says "completed", but they still opened a non payment case?
More info is that I bought 6 items paid for all at once and they opened a case on only one item and yet I payed the amount they asked?

Just a possibility here, but it's likely your seller has set up the Automatic Unpaid Item Assistant, which will open and close the disputes on their behalf, in general, it only works with electronic payments like PayPal, and shouldn't have been possible on an item paid for with PP, but there seems to be some sort of a glitch at the moment with eBay's records of payment and that may have triggered the dispute.
One of the items I purchased and paid for last week (which also has apparently already been posted), is now showing as unpaid. This was an instant payment with funds already in my account, and to a seller I buy from on an almost weekly basis, so there is no doubting the payment went through (I double checked my account just to make sure and the status is Completed). If they're a high volume seller, they probably just rely on Selling Manager Pro to tell them things like what's awaiting payment, what needs to be posted and so forth, so if their account is telling them, albeit wrongly, that an item is unpaid, they might not have picked up on the error - communicating this may be a problem by the sounds of it, but if worse comes to worse, you will be able to appeal any strike that's issued and have it removed.
Sellers can also manually unmark items as Payment Received (meaning they indicate that payment hasn't been received), but I don't know what happens if they do that when the payment was made via PayPal, and whether unpaid item cases can then be opened.
