Help! mistakenly clicking twice on the same item

Hi,

I recently had a look at an item and clicked on "pay now". i clicked continue but before confirming payment I relised that I wanted to have one other look at the item beforeI made up my mind. So, I clicked "backwards". Once I was satisfied and sure about purchasing the item I then clicked "pay now" again. Later when visiting "my ebay" I relised that same item has been listed twice under my account.  I only want one quantity so how can I remove one of them. I am not very familiar with online shoping so any help or advise in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The best thing is to contact the seller and explain what happened. They may agree to cancelling the second item but they do not have to.

Once you click Buy It Now, you have bought the item, it doesn't matter if you hadn't clicked Pay Now.

When you click Buy it now on ebay, that is a purchase.

Not like adding something to a cart, then deciding whether you will pay for it.

On ebay, when you click confirm, you are then committed to paying, otherwise you may receive a strike on your account and too many of those could see you account limited or closed.

Oh dear, didn't you look at their feedback before you bought even one of their items? Over 600 less than happy buyers in the last 12 months. You can ask them if they will cancel one of them and normally I would say if they won't you should pay up and learn not to make the same mistake again but with this seller I think I would rather have an unpaid item strike, or even two!

The OP is only new with low feedback.. I think I would just cop the strikes and start another ID.. Or is that seen as contravening policy?

I agree Patchoo.  That is the advice that has often been given to  new sellers with very low feedback who find themselves on the wrong end of a red dot, often through no fault of their own.

It does not really matter for a buyer though, but if I received a strike so early in my ebay career I think I would ditch the ID and start again.
