Hi, I am so tired of asking people what suburb they are in I just don't bid if they don't have it .

A lot of people say Brisbane in the location, that could be somewhere between 5 minutes and 90 minute for me. Add petrol to the price and it may not be a bargain after all

It's annoyiing isn't it?

Does it help at all if in your search criteria you select the option to sort relative to distance from you?

Are you referring to items marked for pick up, or all listings in general?

I wouldn't be blaming seller on that front. If you look at my listings those listed through turbo lister have Richmond-Tweed NSW, now if I revise those listings once revised they will say Murwillumbah NSW. If people list with TL it only requires a postcode so the program guesses based on that.

I can't understand why sellers of pick up items don't put their postcode in the title, to me it is plain common sense so that buyers who live too far away don't have to waste thier time opening the listing and anyone who is interested knows the score from the start.

Probably because they assume what information they have already given ebay will be displayed correctly thus not needing to have to mention it in the description or title for that matter.

My point is that if it is the title then buyers do not have to rely on anything in the description, if they live what they consider an acceptable distance away they can then open up the listing and see what information the seller and/or ebay have provided.

yeah, but PJ, we all know that common sense isn't really all that common, eh? It's reserved for a select few, it seems.

Can't you do the same by searching for the item, then sort by 25 kms, you then see what items are pickup in your area if you like you open the listing?.
