Holiday Accommodation at rental property in Ocean Grove.

Just curoius to know if anyone has putchased highpeak/lowpeak accommodation for luxurious home in Ocean Grove please. Interested in hearing what your thoughts of this item was.

l know for a fact there were 100's of these holidays sold via voucher method.

A few years ago there was a real botch up where thousands of bookings and vouchers were purchased then the company providing the accommodation went under and the voucher seller was left high and dry. Because most of these holiday vouchers were not covered by Paypal the impact was terrific and ebay ended up refunding the buyers because of the deluge of bad publicity so I would never risk paying for accommodation through an auction site and would only purchase anyway if I could make a direct credit card payment.

Yes l got caught up in that scam as well....you would think l would have learnt.

This company "Great Ocean Retreat" leaves a lot to be desired in as far as the way the supposed company works its communication levels and their ideas on keeping customers money because they cant supply the accommodation any more due to thefts, damage etc etc...and not to mention rats.

By the time l had read their excuses of why the accommodation wasnt available l didnt want to go for what was to be my honeymoon.

But trying to get my money back was like pulling teeth

despite sending emails they said they never recieved them etc etc...but amazingly when l said l was going to report them to Police for fraud emails were found and when l gave 10 days for them to refund the money....it was like.."How dare you accuse me of being irresponsible and untrustworthy....."

Yes the word Police can work miracles in most cases.
