How can I pay with Paypal and fund the payment with my credit card if I have a Paypal balance higher than the amount I will be spending?
The only way I can think to do it is to withdraw all money from my Paypal account but I want to leave a bit in their should I have to do any refunds for recent buyers.
The only time I get the option to chose how to fund the payment is fi the balance is lower than the payment.
Am I missing the bleedin' obvious?

whenever I haven't enough the paypal payment will ask me to use credit card for balance.
also, I know you can go into paypal, but say "haven't got paypal" and it will let me use a credit card.

Normally its done by changing the funding source, but it has the be done on every transaction as paypal will default back to existing funds then bank account

That will do it for a few transactions

I know I put that badly.
My other half wants to buy something - he bids with my id - goes to pay - ticks pay now - selects 'haven't got paypal' and uses credit card.

Not sure bump, if there is another way around it ?
You could open a second account for this purpose. It would take a few days to get a new account verified - so doesn't help you straight away.

I get round it by having two Paypal accounts, one premier to receive payments and one personal with my credit card as the only funding source so I am always using that to pay.

Bump, do not log into your paypal account. Use the Guest Payment option.
If by any chance you need to open a dispute then it is done through your account. I would not do it too often, but it will solve your problem for now.

thank you catspjs, pj and lyndal that is what I needed to know for paying this week.
I think I will start another Paypal account as per PJ because that would solve all problems of keeping buying and selling money separate.
It really can be a nuisance when you have any money in the paypal account.

Thats weird, when I first looked at the replies I didn't see curraone or the_hawk had replied, I only saw them after my previous post.
So sorry to the two of you and thank you for your help.
