How can postage from Germany take three 7 weeks? **bleep**.

Just bought an item from the Deutscheland  251927904244 and they tell me it can take from 4 to more than 7 weeks to deliver from time of postage. How can this be, no one used sea mail for small items any longer surely? Stuff from China only take 2 or 3 weeks. Even the minimum time of almost 4 weeks is ridiculous, is it not?

I had one from Poland take 8 weeks, I wondered the same.

I've only had a couple of buys from Germany, one in transit at the moment, and they were both in that 6-8 week timeframe - I'm not sure whether it's their postal service that's the problem or a customs problem maybe, but the first one definitely was sent by airmail.

The German postal system is run by DHL couriers....everything I have bought from Germany has arrived very quickly.

Must admit it is a few years ago now though.

Well after writing to them they said they gave me the wrong tracking which is why I could not find any details, and it turns out that it arrived in Australia 4 days after being posted!. Should get it today. But I still don't understand why their listing still says up to 7 weeks.

Are you sure that the 4-7 weeks timeframe is the seller's estimate or is it the EBAY estimate.

The ebay estimates can (and usually are) way out to whack with reality.
