How can we stop eBay users from listing items then not sending items after you have paid for item, don't you think there should be some sort of penelty as in never allowed to use eBay banned for good.
Problem is i brought a cannon 7D for $701 item 191363946724 paid for it straight after auction ended, The point is it was brought for my daughters birthday now i may have to buy new one out of retail shop so in fact this eBayer cost me $400 in the differance between the two items.
There appeares to be no rules when you buy on eBay sites, i consider my self to be an execellent eBayer and pay straight after bidding do i change things and go with the rest that some do and maybe pay latter or cancel cause i have had second thoughts?
Solved! Go to Solution.

and this person was 100% clean as, but had only sold 13 items low cost and had a perfect score card.
Which, had you read the boards or 'brushed up' on buyer protection, you would have been aware that this "but had only sold 13 items low cost" would be a red rag to any discerning buyer and a reason to tread carefully.
I am sorry, but I am only replying to your OP where you ask why eBay continue to let 'frauds' sell., what can we do about it?........and I stand by my first and consequent replies, that a buyer can only be ripped off by a fraudulent seller if they allow themselves to be.

Open an Iten Not Recieved Immediately ( as mentioned ) Do not wait. If you paid via Paypal, you will be covered. It also may pay you to Read the Rules again and again. There is Buyer protection, but it must be lodged 45 days from purchase. Please be aware of this in the future. 🙂

There are rules and procedures on eBay, you simply need to know them.
Go to the site map at the bottom of every page and read up on buying, paypal protection, feedback.
And no, you can not cancel because you have second thoughts, this may place you on a seller Black list, and curb you buying ability.
eBay is a safe place, but only if you are aware of how it works.

Was the camera marked at posted? Did the seller upload a tracking number? Check both of those in your purchase history. Have you tried to contact the seller to see if it was actually posted?
Either way, I would be opening a not received case sooner rather than later as you only have 45 days from the purchase date to open a case.

Ok you guys lets take it back a step?
I will get my money back because i paid with PayPal,
What i'm trying to say is HOW do we or eBay stop this sort of fraud,
Where so called eBayers are allowed to put there stuff out there and not send the goods after we have paid.

Unfortunately, even though majority of sellers are honest, there are always going to be scammers. There are far too many sellers on eBay for them to monitor them all. Even if they did shut a dodgy one down, they just create a new account and start again. Think of it as trying to stop the Nigerian scammers. Impossible.
Glad to hear you will be getting your money back. The seller will cop a defect for it too. Make sure you leave them a big red dot as well and one star for everything.

It is something you will never stop. Unfortunately, there will always be Scammers and Bogus Sellers & Buyers online. Be vigilant, check feedback, pay a Secure Way and do your homework. Or, if that doesn't work, go into a B & M Store and shop till ya drop. 🙂

I agree, it's a pain in the neck that you will now have to buy a more expensive one, but, since you got your money back from the ebay seller, they haven't actually cost you anything - you are no worse off than if the camera had never been listed.

Simple - as stated in my earlier post - buyers need to be aware of the procedures in place...........
Imagine......if ALL buyers knew how the system worked and used it correctly, this WOULD stop the frauds,
First, by ruining a fraudulent sellers feedback with negatives, and allowing other buyers to see the comments.
Second, by not allowing the seller to get away with anything and receiving a full refund and costing the seller fee's.
Thirdl, enough negative FB will cause eBay to close an account.
