Hi there. I live in NZ (which is noted in my profile), but the currency I see when looking to buy is in Australian dollars (because, apparently, all websites seem to think we are joined at the hip!). We don't use Australian dollars, we have our own currency. I have no idea what the exchange rate is for Australia, and I'd like to see the amount the item costs in NZD.
If anyone has any ideas, that'd be great. Thanks and cheers. ๐ต

You are on ebay Australia so of course you will see it in AU$. Just look up the currency converter in paypal and you can find out the item price as well as what it will cost you to actually pay for the item (paypal builds their fees into the rate).

Apparently Trade Me, which is restricted to Kiwi's only, killed off eBay NZ. In which case you will probably have to find a way of converting $A to $NZ, remembering to allow for currency conversion fees.

When I'm on eBay US, they give me my own currency. I could use the currency converter, but i was simply hoping there would be an option to choose. Oh well.

Do you have a smartphone, or a tablet? I unwittingly enabled this option on my ipad, using the ebay app, when I set my home country. So handy, being able to see the approximate value, live, so to speak, when browsing ebay, wordwide. The approximate value in my countries currency, (NZ), is shown under the currency in the original listed value.
I cannot find where to do this on my PC version. Changing the default via my ipad, did affect my ebay pc version, but as soon as I'd logged out of ebay, my settings reset to default.
Don't know if this was helpful at all?
