How do I get ebay to contact me?

why can't I use links and drop down boxes to get someone to contact me? Why does ebay run my mouse around in circles with no hope of being contacted to discuss an issue with a product that has caused me to strip my car's engine down and is costing me at least $1,000 to fix. Will ebay contact me after writing this? They seem to contact me frequently if my account is late.

I doubt it. You will need to contact the seller and if they can't or won't help then contact PayPal.

I'm pretty sure that eBay won't be able to help with your main issues anyway.

Ebay is an advertising medium, your transaction is between the seller and yourself and Paypal if that is how you paid. Only the item you purchased would be covered anyway, any additional expense because of the item being faulty would not be covered unless you purchsed a new item BIN from an Australian registered company when you would have the same rights through consumer protection legislation as you would buying anywhere else and would have to go through the courts to get any redress
