I bought a car DVD player for my baby grand-daughter and it was opened on Xmas morning.
Unfortunately there were missing parts. The reason I bought this unit was because of it's easy attachment to the car headrest.
And it was these parts that were missing! I was extremely disappointed that it could not be fitted to my daughters vehicle after paying over $250.00
I contacted the seller immediately to advise on the missing parts and received a reply asking for photographic proof and a description.
Which I supplied promptly. I have since sent 4 emails and messages requesting contact to remedy the situation. I have heard nothing.
The item was described as having these 'easy fit' parts, appeared in the picture description of the unit and of course expected to be in the box.
I did not use Paypal for this purchase (unfortunately), and paid via a direct deposit into their nominated bank account.
I requested that they post me the missing parts (so that we can see whether the unit actually plays or not as it hasn't even been installed or removed from the box), or asked should I parcel up the box and return for a full refund.
No correspondence at all from the seller calling themselves - helomolto. I since saw that they are Hong Kong based but I am sure the post came from Melbourne? I would not have purchased this item if I knew the seller was based overseas.....for obvious reasons.
Apart from leaving revised feedback, sending countless messages asking for assistance, and letting Ebay know what has happened, what other options are available to me? I feel duped.

Go to your paypal payment and open a dispute from there.
INAD - you have the photographic evidence, and keep all correseponence from the seller should paypal request that at a later date.
Advise paypal that what you require are the missing parts to be supplied, rather than having to muck around sending the item back.

OP never used PayPal so you need to open an item not as described through ebay and follow the process.

I'm sorry OP but you have no Buyer protection from either ebay or Paypal as you chose to put your money in some strangers Bank Account.
If the Seller was a Registered Business in Australia you could go through Fair Trade.
Otherwise you may have done your dough.
Don't leave it too long to leave appropriate feedback so other people know.

Yes you are correct my bad, only if you paid with PayPal,PayMate or a creditcard you are then covered by buyer protection so OP I'm also afraid that you have lost your money sorry.
