How do I permanently remove pop up ads? They are making ebay un-usable. Seriously.

This is serious. I love ebay so much. The pop up ads are out of control. At least once I could hardly see the screen. Not enough to actually be able to use the site. I would be very upset if I could no longer use ebay, but if this keeps up I wont be able to. The whole experience is becoming too frustrating to be worth it. I am quite sure that my issue will have no impact on ebay policy so I guess I will no longer be able to shop here soon. That is very saddening.

I use an adblocker and never see tham - you can look up adblock plus for your browser.

This happened to me a couple of years back. It was driving me around the twist.

Then I read of someone else complaining and they were told it is a program that has planted itself in their computer.

Not exactly a virus but annoying all the same.

To get rid of it, I remember I looked at what the name seemed to be on the pop ups then googled it.

One result gave the name of the program (which wasn't the same as the name on the popups) and it gave step by step instructions about how to go into my computer and delete it from my settings.

I'm not very computer savvy but the directions were clear enough so that even i could do it.

Oh the bliss when all the ads disappeared!!

I wish I could recall the name of the program or the links to the removal site but I don't so my advice would be to google, other people will have struck the problem and the info will be out there.
